Meet Our Captains

Captain Tyler is a USCG licensed Master Captain and a seasoned guide who began his career in his home state of Iowa as a hunting guide before moving to our coastal paradise in 2018. 

Captain Tyler understands the thrill of "getting on the fish". As a passionate and experienced guide, Captain Tyler enjoys sharing his love for great fishing with his customers. 

With Captain Tyler at the helm, you can expect exceptional service, a fun atmosphere, and a great time on the water

Captain Ian (Robbie) joined our crew in late 2025 after obtaining his USCG captain's license. While he may be a newly licensed captain, he has vast and extensive knowledge of the Gulf waters and gamefish you will be targeting.

Captain Robbie grew up on the water, having a rod and reel in his hands at a very young age. He has several years of experience working as a deckhand and also at the helm of his own boat.

Captain Robbie is a student at Texas A&M and enrolled in the Merchant Mariner program. When not attending classes or running trips for UpScale Anglers, you can regularly find him on his boat scouting the water for the best spots to catch Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, and his favorite ... Shark!

With Captain Robbie at the helm be ready for a day of adventure, exceptional service, and ready to have a great day on the water.

Captain Colton will be returning to our crew SOON and we are so excited to have him back! He is a USCG licensed captain with lots of knowledge to share and so fun to be around.

Captain Colton is full of energy and takes great pride in what he does. He enjoys taking the beginning anglers out on the water, teaching them all the tricks of the trade. He also enjoys taking the seasoned anglers out and getting them hooked up on a fight like they haven't experienced before. He is all about making sure his customers have fun, make lasting memories, and also earn themselves some bragging rights!
